We could watch the Northern Lights as soon as they appeared, with no buildings in the way. It was just right for seeing them in winter. The room was small, but comfortable for three, and the heating was so effective that our freshly washed clothes dried in only a few hours. Highly recommend during peak aurora season.

We had to cancel because of illness, unfortunately, but the hosts were very kind and understanding about it. I’m sure we would have been happy with our stay if the trip had gone ahead.

After long days exploring this beautiful island, Beindalsholt cabin was a lovely place to rest. My partner and I loved how clean it was, and the views were amazing, especially for northern lights. The beds were comfortable, and the cabin felt warm and cozy. I’d recommend it especially for couples. 😊

We decided to stay in one place for the whole trip because winter weather can be unpredictable, and it saved us the stress of road closures and last-minute plan changes. The cottage worked out as a comfortable base, with a well-equipped kitchen, microwave, toaster, cozy bed, great shower, and FAST WiFi. For Iceland, the price felt reasonable, too. Its location made it easy to reach the Golden Circle and southern attractions, and we even managed a day trip to Vik, Hofn and back. Best of all, we saw the Northern Lights from bed, so we didn’t have to pay for a tour. It ended up being a really worthwhile part of our trip.
