Fosshotel Vatnajökull

The breakfasts were generous, with plenty to choose from, and dinner was a highlight too. We tried Icelandic lamb and baked cheese with vegetables, both delicious. We later learned the chef is a Polish woman who has cooked there for years. It was the most beautiful hotel of our whole trip, and I highly recommend eating there 😍.

I could happily stay here forever. It feels wonderfully tucked away, with beautiful surroundings and a lovely spot in the middle of almost nowhere. The room was simple and nice, the dining area had a great view, the food was very good, and the staff were so nice. If I visit Iceland again, I'd come back.

After a long day of driving, those really comfortable beds were exactly what I needed. Check-in was easy and felt welcoming thanks to the friendly, helpful reception staff. The bartender was lovely too, and made the evening more enjoyable. A great stay.

Hi Fosshotel, My stay today was very unpleasant. There was an unknown powder on the curtains and two flies on them that wouldn't go away. The bathroom was stained, and the room was extremely dirty. I also found several strands of someone else's hair on the bed, which is completely unacceptable. Please explain how you intend to deal with this.
