Fosshotel Husavik

The breakfast was good, and the building looks nice from outside. Inside, though, our economy double was among the older rooms, which by itself would have been fine. The mattresses were ancient and worn, and we slept very badly. After many guesthouses and hostels, this was our first proper hotel, so it was a real disappointment. We were glad it was only a one-night stay.

The hotel is easy to reach by car and in a good location. Still, I was disappointed by how my room was assigned. I arrived around 3 p.m. as a regular guest and was put in an accessible room without being told beforehand or asked whether I agreed. That doesn't feel professional. Guests deserve clear communication and a choice of room type.

I had dinner at the bar, and the burger was tasty and good quality. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and I was very pleased with the service. It's a lovely hotel in a great location, and I'd highly recommend it.

They handled my dietary issues without any fuss, and the staff clearly care about making sure you're comfortable and happy. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, with hot or cold options, pastries, and cereals. Amazing hotel. I can't recommend it highly enough.
