Hjardarból Hostel

The meals were a real highlight, and it was handy that we could put together our own lunches at breakfast for the day. Breakfast itself didn’t have many choices, though the cookies they supplied for the week were fabulous. Staff were hardly around unless a teacher was talking with them about meals. I was here on a school trip, and it had the feel of a classic youth hostel, with rooms for four. The beds were nice, though I’ve seen better. The shower had a slight rotten egg smell, like H2S, but it wasn’t very noticeable. There are two friendly dogs who like playing and cuddling, which was really cute. The location worked well for getting around by coach, and the hot tub was an amazing experience. Seeing the northern lights from it would have made it even more magical, though that’s not the hotel’s fault. It was a cozy, very nice place for a school trip.

The furry little friends were such a lovely extra 😍🐾. I loved how cozy the place felt, and it worked perfectly when we were on the go. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we had a really lovely experience. Thank you!

A peaceful, quiet spot in a nice location, and the rooms were a good price. Breakfast had a nice spread, although 3000 krona felt a little pricey. Very nice overall, and I’d recommend it.

After being out most of the day, it was so nice to come back to somewhere homely. The cute rooms and comfortable hotel really added to the school trip. The bathrooms could use better ventilation. I genuinely enjoyed the food as a vegetarian. Breakfast was good, and each evening there was one meat dish, one vegetarian dish, and one vegan dish, with gluten-free options too. I’d rate this place highly!
