For a 24-hour Icelandair layover, this guesthouse worked really well. The airport is very convenient to reach, though Keflavík itself is quiet and has extremely limited restaurant choices. The breakfast and coffee they prepared were lovely, and the house was clean and quiet. There’s also a relaxing hot tub in the backyard. Andy and his wife were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and good humored. Andy’s wife even lent me a bathing suit, seriously the nicest hosts. There are lovely seaside views just a few minutes away. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in town, and renting a car to see Reykjavík and the rest of Iceland.

A beautiful guesthouse with really creative decor, and such a warm welcome. The breakfast was delicious too. Compliments to Yuki & Andi. Highly recommended.

The hosts were so welcoming and nice. Our rooms were clean, cool, and full of character. I had a relaxing dip in the thermal pool before bed, then we finished the stay with a lovely breakfast.

We were only a few minutes’ walk from a nice Italian restaurant, and it’s about 10 minutes to the airport. Andy had picked up other guests. The night we arrived, we used the yard’s hot tub, as heavenly and warm as Andy himself is as a host. Andy joked that Dutch people generally don’t give 5 stars, though he and Yuki fully deserve them. In German, the top mark is a 1, and he deserves six of those, or 1 x 6. For a short Iceland stopover, I’d start and finish the trip at 1 x 6 instead of going to Reykjavik. You can visit the island’s natural wonders in between.
