The spa experience was so good that we booked a visit for the next day. We'd been staying in Ólafsfjörður, walked in to ask about it, and got a warm welcome. The staff member was incredibly friendly, showed us around, explained the facilities, and talked us through the dinner menu and drinks. The hotel is luxurious, new, and really beautiful. The spa had a red light sauna, a traditional sauna, a cold tub, and a large hot tub inside, though separate from the hotel building, which made it feel extra cozy. There was also a button to order drinks anywhere in the spa, so we didn't have to go to the bar. The robes and slippers were comfortable, but too small for me. They seemed to be made to Chinese sizing, where XL is more like S or M here. My girlfriend was happy with hers. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.
