The shared kitchen and living area made it easy to cook, and they had everything we needed. The house felt cozy and restful, too. It’s well placed for sightseeing, though the setting is wonderfully remote. We even saw the northern lights from just outside the guesthouse. We had a great stay.

Our stay at South Central Guesthouse was comfortable. We were given a larger room, with enough space to leave two big suitcases and two small ones open at the same time.

We were upgraded to a whole apartment, which was clean and had all the equipment we needed to cook dinner. The host was really friendly and accommodating. We even saw the northern lights here during our stay two weeks ago 🙂 Thanks! Q&Y

The beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen made a long stay enjoyable, especially since I like cooking for myself. Selfoss is only about 15-20 minutes away for groceries. Other guests were friendly, though they were all staying just one night, and came from all over the world. There are beautiful horses right outside to watch, too. Fantastic place and host. I’d definitely come back on a future visit!

The room was on the small side, but comfortable and very clean. From my window I could see tall mountains and horses grazing in the fields. The guesthouse is spacious, with two wings, a kitchen, and a large dining area with lots of separate tables. The owners are friendly and seem to think of what guests might need. We didn’t try the hot tub, but hope to next time. This was the nicest guesthouse we stayed in Iceland!
