Black Beach Guesthouse

We got good value for a basic stay. There are four restaurants close enough to walk to, including Heima Bistro, and our room was modern, roomy, and had a mini fridge and kettle. The noise and light were the downsides. The walls are so thin we heard people in the hallway and our neighbor snoring. The windows have shades rather than blackout curtains, so light came in around the edges and kept the room dimly bright through the June nights. No real views to speak of, but despite those issues, it was a good rate.

After 14 days of road-tripping in a campervan, we needed somewhere to get organized and pack for the airport, and this worked perfectly. We booked at the last minute and still got a good deal. The room was spotless and airy, with toiletries provided and a spacious bathroom. There’s no lift, but we were on the first floor, in room 207, so it wasn’t an issue. Kronan and a few other restaurants are within walking distance.

I’d stay here again. It was quiet apart from the occasional passing car, and there’s plenty of parking right out front. You can walk to a grocery store and gas, and the Thai restaurant a block away was quite delicious. My room was very clean and had everything I needed. Just a heads-up for anyone with mobility issues: there’s a step up into the shower. In summer, bring an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light. The blackout curtains help as much as they can, but the room still gets quite bright.

Everything matched the description and photos, and the place was clean and well looked after. The couple managing it this morning were very kind. I had a wonderful night here and would definitely recommend staying. Greetings from germany :)
