A large grocery store was close, and having a well-equipped kitchen meant we could cook and save quite a bit. The modern apartment was clean and comfortable, and getting into downtown on foot or by bus was easy. We first had a unit facing the road, which was noisy, so we asked to move. The host arranged another apartment for us, and it was very peaceful. If road noise bothers you, request a unit away from it. There were a few annoyances. The bathroom sink was oddly small despite room for a larger one, and the Wi-Fi sometimes had weak reception, though it was fine most of the time. The furniture didn’t make great use of the available space, and there could have been more clothes storage. We also needed some trial and error with the washing machine and oven, which felt a bit gimmicky.

The apartment had what we needed, the facilities were easy to use, and parking was free. It felt very safe, with a nice view and easy access to downtown. If you’re lucky, you might even spot the northern lights from right outside your window. A cute, convenient place.

There’s a bus stop very close, and the apartment comes equipped with all the basics, including shower gel, shampoo, a hair dryer, toilet paper, washing-up liquid, and a dishwasher. Still, it’s very expensive, and there’s no closet, so you have to live out of your suitcase.

We won’t book Frost Apartment again. We paid close to €900, then watched the rate fall to around €600 as our dates got nearer. After that, I’d strongly advise against booking well ahead, since the original price seems much higher. We raised it with management and got a dismissive reply blaming “market dynamics.” A 40% drop seems too drastic to put down to market conditions alone. We expected at least a partial refund for the extra we’d paid, but were offered only a cold response and a late checkout, which was no use to us since we’d left hours earlier. For €900, we realized there were much more spacious apartments with better value in the area.
