The owner was lovely and easy to reach whenever I had a question. You can also add the cutest little wool puffin souvenir to your reservation. I really enjoyed staying here! ☺️

The price was great by Icelandic standards, and REK inn was clean and easy to get around from. I spent two days there and would happily return on my next trip to Reykjavik. It's near the Bonus supermarket, and the city center is not far, with walking and public transport both convenient. I'd definitely recommend it.

Bonus supermarket is just a few steps away, which was handy. I also got to see my first snow in Iceland, it was beautiful here. The room was quiet, and parking was free across the street from the building.

Bonus is right next door, and the free parking was a real plus. Our clean, tidy double room had an ensuite bathroom and worked well for the two of us. The shared kitchen was good for breakfast, though we ate out most of the time and can't speak to the other facilities. It's easy to reach and made a good base for heading northwest or south around the island.

The price was low, so the room was kind of okay, but it wasn't great. There was dust everywhere and the smell wasn't very nice. Outside, though, the location was perfect and completely quiet at night.
