The lack of clear check-in information and the way the space was represented were really disappointing. We stayed at both the Odinsve apartments, which were great, and Rey apartments, which I wouldn't recommend. Our room, 1206, took more than 20 stairs and six doors to reach, a nightmare with luggage. No one told us about the free parking spot, so we spent over $50 a day to park and unload the car. The building felt dated, and the bathroom was tiny: the sink splashed water across the floor when you tried to wash your hands, and the shower was too tight for my 200 lb husband. People talked in the hallways and slammed doors constantly, at all hours.

The windows let in a lot of outside sound, so sleeping can be tough when it's busy out at night. Still, the apartments were lovely, with a great location, nice decor, comfortable beds, and plenty of space.

The walls are so thin that I'm amazed the hotel hasn't upgraded the locks and keys either. Getting in from the street is incredibly clunky. The shower curtain is growing black mold, and the body wash has gone off somehow and smells like rotten eggs. I wish I didn't have to leave this review, but the hotel seems unaware of these conditions. If they meant to run a hostel, naming and pricing it that way would have made more sense.

The apartment was right beside the sidewalk and street, and the noise made it really hard to sleep. It stayed loud until around 4 am, then people were around again from about 7:00 am. The location is convenient, but the older building could use an update. There are other places in Reykjavik with more charm.
