Ekra Glacier Lagoon

Diamond Beach is easy to get to from here, and that alone made the location worth five stars for us. The room was warm, clean, and comfortable. There aren’t many shops nearby, though there’s a decent breakfast option across the street. The frozen waterfall stays lit all night, which I found a bit much, and the lights around the accommodation got in the way when I tried to photograph the northern lights. It was manageable.

We stayed in room 2, which had a little fridge with complimentary water, an electric kettle, and a French press with coffee grounds. The shower was roomy and had strong water pressure. Our whole group liked the booking, especially its setting in front of two waterfalls. I’d recommend it to people visiting the area, though dining options nearby are limited.

The house was lovely, with a waterfall behind it, and it had plenty of gadgets that made things comfortable. On a sunny afternoon, my partner and I ate lunch on the wraparound porch. I’m an amateur photographer, so I also really enjoyed the area for taking pictures. Everything was tidy and very clean. The hosts were kind and quick to respond, and when we got lost on the way, they helped us find the place.

The room was great, with a fridge and kettle, and the view over the sea and mountains was fantastic. There’s a waterfall behind the guesthouse too. We arrived very late during a snowstorm and couldn’t reach the place, but the staff helped us get there. The roads were still closed the next day, so they let us stay until nearly evening, when they reopened. That was really kind and helpful. Bring food, since there aren’t many options nearby.
