This was easily the most charming place I stayed in Iceland, and I really enjoyed being there. It was clean and nice, with a big kitchen that had everything I needed. One thing caught me off guard: I needed cash to pay for coffee, even though I got used to doing everything else in Iceland without cash.

We had a clean, nice room with four beds and its own bathroom. The bathroom was clean and pleasant, but the room was very small for four adults, especially with one of the beds being a bunk.

The place looks nice and the views are lovely, and having laundry available was handy. But it wasn't a good stay overall. The old building let in every sound from outside our room, at all hours. The bathroom smelled odd, had no shampoo or conditioner, and the layout was awful. I hit my foot on the shower area twice trying to get to the toilet, and my husband ran into it in the middle of the night too.

It was a pleasure to arrive at a nicely decorated hostel and room. The staff were friendly, check-in went smoothly, and there was a spacious kitchen with all the equipment we needed.

We were happy we stayed here. The hostel is charming, with very clean rooms and a well equipped kitchen next to a nice dining room. Thomas and the kind young woman were helpful and welcoming. The other guests were international and open minded. The rooms were a little alert.
