Omare B&B

Breakfast arrived at our room and there was plenty of it. We also liked having a pleasant place to sit in the courtyard. The room was a good size and nicely equipped, and Carmelina and Barbara were warm, helpful hosts. We really enjoyed staying at Omare, a lovely find I’d happily recommend.

Right in the town centre, Omare B&B still felt quiet and tucked away. We were very comfortable there, thanks in no small part to Carmelina and Barbara, who welcomed us so warmly and were happy to help with anything. Highly recommended.

The care from the owners is what stayed with me most. I have some trouble with my knees, and they noticed what might help without my having to ask, then offered assistance kindly and graciously. I’ve travelled for decades, mostly on my own and usually choosing B&Bs, and Omare is among the very best I’ve stayed in. The house, which I understand is very old, has been beautifully refurbished. It was quiet, clean, safe and well located in Agrigento. The proprietors were attentive and hospitable, and breakfast was a treat: each evening I chose from a range of delicious things, then they brought it the next morning at the time I’d requested. A gem, and one I recommend wholeheartedly.

The step-free layout in the Amerigo Vespucci suite made things much easier with a pram. The only stairs lead down to the jacuzzi and garden. Inside there’s a kitchenette with the main appliances, a comfortable bed, private bathroom, TV lounge for the kids, sauna, veranda, garden and jacuzzi. The B&B was very clean, and for €10 a day you can request the baby service, which includes a bottle warmer, cot and changing mat. It’s a comfortable, safe and convenient family base close to the main sights in Agrigento. We’d recommend the suite. Such a rare find in a wonderful Sicilian city!
