The owner was so kind, and the rooms were clean and well equipped. Exceptionally nice hotel.

The owner was fantastic, so kind, welcoming, attentive, and energetic. We had a wonderful stay at Da Umby, and I highly recommend it! Our room was clean and had everything we needed, including toiletries, breakfast, air conditioning, and a small TV. There was also a lovely outdoor shared area, with a table for each room. The location was great, just steps from a small, quiet beach and a 10-minute walk to Alghero's old town.

Free parking in front of the property was a plus. The room was comfortable and had a sea view, but it was actually small and faced to the side. There was an unpleasant musty smell as soon as I walked in, and the bathroom was cramped, without even a bidet. The owner's photos gave a different impression.

Umby feels like home, with spotless rooms and a manager who's wonderful and very helpful. Step outside and you're already on the seafront for a nice sunset walk, while the center of Alghero is just steps away. Breakfast has a good range, from pastries to coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, and jams. If you're after somewhere comfortable where you can relax and feel part of a family, this is the place.

There's free street parking, and the location works well for exploring Alghero. Fine for a two or three day stay.
