Dimora Scipione Crisanzio

Ivana met me outside Dimora Scipione Crisanzio and showed me around an apartment that was even more impressive in person than the photos. The building’s architecture was beautiful too. We’d coordinated my arrival time, and when my flight ran late, her husband replied quickly to my updates. There’s A/C, central heating, and everything needed in the kitchen. Ivana also shared several restaurant tips, and they were great. The train station at Quintino Sella, on the airport line, is less than a five-minute walk away. I had a great stay and would recommend it to a friend.

The place was cozy, clean, and in a great spot. We had a really nice stay, and the hosts were lovely. We’ll definitely come back.

The building’s historic feel comes through in the high ceilings, stone floors, original stucco, oak parquet, old fireplaces, and large wooden doors with brass handles. Its Renaissance style is also visible on the façade, with bas-reliefs and substantial columns. The apartments keep those period details while still offering modern comforts, so it feels cozy without losing the sense of the past. The central station is about a seven-minute walk away, making it easy to head to Matera, Polignano, Ostuni, Lecce, and other nearby places in Puglia.
