The apartment itself was fairly clean, with comfortable beds, and the old building has some charm. It’s right in the center, which is handy, but the area was packed and loud on Friday night, and you could hear a lot inside too since the rooms are rented separately. Our room’s bathroom was built into it, with no window or ventilation, and smelled bad, possibly of mold. Getting in was a hassle, with lots of self check-in steps and codes. I wouldn’t stay here again, even for one night.

The location is the only thing this place has going for it. It feels like office space turned into rooms, with improvised bathrooms, no real facilities, and a snack machine in the hallway. The place was run down and filthy, and there wasn’t an actual person managing it, so it felt cold and unwelcoming. There were strange patches of art over holes in the walls and air freshener trying to cover a horrible smell. I can only imagine how bad it was underneath. The online photos look edited, and the negative reviews are right.

The location is great, but that’s about where the positives end. We could hear everyone coming and going in the building, so it’s a terrible fit for light sleepers. The day keeper in the room opposite played music on and off all day, and with the walls so thin, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re jet lagged and hoping to nap. We weren’t told until we arrived that breakfast wasn’t included because of “covid”; none of the confirmation emails mentioned that, which was really disappointing. The service wasn’t great either, and we would’ve chosen somewhere else if we’d known it was self check-in. This isn’t a hotel.

We were very happy with the stay. The host was discreet but attentive, and the rooms were cleaned and towels changed every day. It’s an extremely central spot, and the rooms are big. Six stars for this!
