The terrace has lovely views, and the food was delicious. Hot meals are available from 12:30 pm. Walking from Redebus to Stamaiolo takes about an hour and twenty minutes. Keep in mind Stramailo is seasonal. This year it opened every day from 21 June. After rain, or several wet days, skip the path and use the asphalt road instead.

The dining room feels warm and inviting, and the location is lovely, well away from urban life. The food, though, was only so-so. I’m used to typical Trentino dishes, and these didn’t feel special; there wasn’t much to choose from either.

All around, it’s cows, flowers, pine trees and mountain peaks, with wonderfully fresh air. Add a big plate of polenta and a glass of teroldego, and it’s hard to beat. One of the best malga in Trentino.

It took ages for anyone to come ask what we wanted to drink or eat. The service was very poor.

There aren’t many dishes, but they’re prepared with care, and we ate really well. The service was excellent and the prices fair. Thanks to all the staff. We’d happily recommend it and will definitely return.
