Chiaroscuro

The seafood menu was original and delicious, and the fish was clearly fresh. We went with my husband and some other couples for a Valentine's Day dinner with entertainment. The waiters were friendly, service was impeccable, and there was always water and wine on hand. The music was a little loud, though, which made conversation difficult. A pleasant evening overall, at a fair price.

Breakfast was the standout: a buffet with delicious cakes and pastries, mostly homemade by the owner's wife. The family-run feel comes through in the management, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The owner serves breakfast and is also the restaurant chef, where the food is excellent. Special thanks to Fadio, the hotel's "gift-maker." For the area, the value is unbeatable if you want to explore its sights. The hotel is near Tolentino, the Civitanova Marche motorway exit, and close to the highway. You can hear traffic from the nearby viaduct, though it wasn't too unpleasant. Guests, including restaurant visitors, can use the large free outdoor parking lot. A magnetic card opens both the room and the outside gate. There is a restaurant on site. The double room, the only room type and about 22 square meters, was spacious and modern, as was the bathroom with its large shower. It had a phone, TV, minibar, air conditioning, safe, table and chair, wardrobe, blackout curtains, plus a balcony with chairs and a small table. The room was clean, and towels were changed daily.

Breakfast comes with assorted cakes and seasonal fruit, and the pool is included. The seafood restaurant has a varied, refined menu. The elegant rooms look out over the park and pool.

Our room's bathroom broke the morning of our stay, the weekend before Ferragosto, August 15th, and couldn't be repaired quickly. Mr. Sandro found us comparable accommodation at a farmhouse with a pool within a 20-kilometer radius, and promptly covered the small difference in price. You might expect complications in that situation, but everything was handled flawlessly. We'll try to come back!
