Hotel Natur Idyll Hochgall

After arriving in early September, we had a wonderful five-night stay with our friends from Vienna. The surroundings are gorgeous, the hotel is magnificent, the amenities are brilliant, the food is great, and the staff are wonderful. Special mention to young Marcel, who will do anything for guests if asked and if it's feasible. The only shortcoming was iffy Wi-Fi in the rooms, so bring a cable to be on the safe side. My wife, our friends, and I had a relaxing time and plan to return. Getting to this point took years. The relationship started badly when the hotel was very upset about our cancellation during the COVID disaster. We cancelled on the Austrian government's advice and out of common sense, but the hotel kept our €400 deposit. Years later, they changed their mind, and that turned out to be a good decision for us and the hotel.

The staff made the stay feel like home. They were exceptionally kind, always smiling, helpful, and ready to handle every request professionally. I also loved the spa: a sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, ice waterfall, indoor and outdoor pools, and two relaxation areas. The food was truly excellent, with generous portions, and breakfast had options for every taste, including almond, soy, rice, and oat milk, plus sweet protein spreads, which aren't that easy to find. Cleanliness was exceptional throughout the building and in the room. It was my first time in the Aurina Valley, and I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. A spectacular snowfall made it even more magical. I'll definitely be back!
