I ate well overall. The food had clearly defined flavors, the wine was excellent, and the cooking had some imaginative modern touches. My one complaint is the number of appetizers: there were 10 courses, but each was tiny, like a small piece of cheese or sweet sausage. Other places might serve fewer courses, but make them more modest in size.
We always feel at home at "La Real." For my mother’s 60th birthday, Marco welcomed us with his usual smile and courtesy and had set aside a small room in the restaurant. The service was excellent, with someone always available if we needed anything. The menu was full of refined, inventive dishes that still nodded to tradition. Five stars don’t feel like enough.
Marco, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, and took us around the whole estate. The place sits among olive trees and vineyards in the Apulian countryside. The restaurant’s daily specials use local produce, and each one was more delicious than the last. The chef is excellent, and it’s worth coming even just for dinner. A perfect place for a family visit and stay.
The breakfast is generous, and the food and drinks are top-notch. Around the beautiful, well-kept property, there are palm trees, oleanders, a pool, and comfortable loungers. The rooms are well-equipped, the staff are young and friendly, and they give you time to truly relax. It’s peaceful and romantic, with a real chance to unwind. It felt like paradise, and I’d love to return again and again.
We went for dinner with friends from Milan. The place is nice and the pizza is okay, but the service was zero. They forgot our orders and everything felt badly organized. I wouldn’t give it more than two stars.
