Luca and Irene clearly put care into every detail, and it shows throughout the place. We stayed two nights at the end of the season, and everything was in such good shape, beautifully arranged, and almost like new. Breakfast was thoughtful, delicious, and full of creativity. It was a pleasure to see how much they care. Thanks to both of you for everything, you help make the world a better place.

The views around La Matassina are beautiful, and I felt at peace as soon as I arrived. Irene, Luca, and their staff were warm, welcoming hosts who made the stay feel special. Breakfast was packed with delicious homemade treats, and their products are really tasty too. Lola and Bianca were the sweetest company, always friendly and happy to hang out. It’s a magical place I’d recommend to anyone.

The people running the place are kind and welcoming, and the property is clean, well cared for, and has pretty much everything you’d need for a vacation. It’s nicely tucked among fields and hills near the coast, but still close enough to major cities and main roads for easy day trips. I’d recommend it to anyone after a relaxed, comfortable stay in Tuscany with a friendly, easygoing feel. I’d happily choose it again if I return.

You can spend a quiet day by the pool or in the garden here, and the sea and plenty of beaches are close by. It’s also a good base for trips to Pisa, Lucca, and Voltera. The villa and its location are both fantastic. I’ll definitely come back.

The rooms have everything you need, and the air conditioning keeps them nice and cool. The family are incredibly helpful, and there’s lots of choice at breakfast, freshly made each morning. We had a really enjoyable stay. If you want a base in Tuscany within 45 minutes of Pisa, book here.
