B&B Etna's Tourist

This is a fair review, not a complaint. The host said that because there was a refund, he considered what I wrote a complaint. The refund itself took almost an hour to sort out. I eventually moved to another place at nearly 8 pm, and the city tax wasn't refunded even though we hadn't stayed there. The air conditioner and heater were broken in winter. After I told the host, he left things as they were and didn't offer us another room. Communication was extremely difficult. The host doesn't speak English, but I've met other Italians who also don't speak English and still managed to communicate successfully. So language may be part of the problem, but the host also didn't seem willing to understand what the guest was asking for. There are almost no shops or restaurants nearby compared with the city center, and the lighting is very dark. Tourists might be better off avoiding this area. There's also no luggage storage service. If you don't speak Italian, I'd suggest finding somewhere in the city center.

The host was attentive and friendly, and the place was impeccably clean, with good Wi-Fi and a TV. It's about a five-minute walk from the main station for Intercity trains and the bus to Mt Etna. An excellent place to stay.

The staff are very friendly, and the room was perfect. It's also a great base for getting around the city on public transport.

Pretty good. The room had its own bathroom, and the toiletries, like shampoo, were plentiful and smelled nice. Toothpaste was the exception.
