I'd recommend it. Great value for money in Catania, in my opinion. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaned every day.

Booking through Booking.com turned out to be a mistake. We thought booking there would protect us, but we still haven't received a response, and we're disappointed that Booking.com lists this place. The property itself was awful, with dirt everywhere, broken shower tray, exposed pipes that made a lot of noise, and power outlets loose from the wall. There was air conditioning, but it didn't work at all. Instead of bed bases there were boards, with a mattress only 5 cm thick. We were disgusted and disappointed.

We hated the people outside. The place was cold, dirty all over, and smelled of cigarettes. I couldn't relax because it felt like someone might come in at any moment, and we could hear everything in the other rooms. The toilet beside the bed smelled like sewage, there was no bidet, and the bed was so hard it hurt my bones. I slept on a wooden plank, not a proper mattress, and at 3 a.m. kids screaming downstairs woke me up. The welcome was awkward, with an elderly woman and a crying child, and it felt like we were in their home. The person who answered the phone was rude. Terrible, a real dump.

The room was clean and a bit noisy, but otherwise okay. When I mentioned cleanliness issues, the friendly receptionist sorted them out promptly. The advertised rooms on Booking.com were misleading and didn't match what we found. At this price, there's barely any breakfast, just two coffee pods, and the bed was plywood instead of a proper base. It felt like a bed, not a bed and breakfast. I've found much better in Catania for the same money.
