Hotel Oasi

The desk staff were excellent and very helpful. I booked a single room, and it was comfortable and as expected. It was a little pricey for what I got, but it was the cheapest option in the area, so I can't complain.

The front desk woman was kind and helpful whenever we dealt with her. The male owner, though, was rude. Once, he asked me to follow him shortly so he could explain the door lock, then yelled at me when I didn't go immediately. I think we misunderstood each other because of the language difference, and I can understand that, but being rude about it wasn't okay. There were other service concerns too. During check-in, they wanted to keep our passports and leave them out in public after they were finished with them. We managed to get them returned directly to us. The hotel calls itself non-smoking, but the owner smoked right outside our window. There was no AC, so we had to choose between a hot room and opening the window to let in smoke. When we asked him to smoke elsewhere, he rudely said he would mind and told us to close the window. The room itself was clean and had what we needed. It wasn't large, but it was sufficient. The tiny parking lot was nearly impossible to get in and out of without risking damage to the car. I don't know if the hotel can control it, but the hotel next door becomes a nightclub on weekends until midnight, which made sleeping difficult.

The family were warm and accommodating, and the location made it easy to walk downtown or get to nearby hikes. I'd stay again.

Laura was so kind and helpful. It felt like a homely place, and I found the breakfast good. My single room was small but very clean and had the basic things I needed. The bed and pillows were comfortable for me.
