Hotel Bouton d'Or - Courmayeur

We were three families with lots of requests, including restaurant and lunch bookings, and the staff handled everything with real enthusiasm and kindness. Breakfast was excellent and worked for everyone, including family members with gluten allergies. Our room for four was spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Hotel Boton d’Or has direct ski lift access, plus a garage and a private entrance from the slopes into a well-equipped ski room with boot dryers. After more than 30 years of traveling in the Alps, I can say the hotel offers just about everything I could wish for. It's clean and attractive throughout. The wellness area has two saunas at different temperatures and two hot tubs with different water temperatures. I can warmly recommend it.

We had such a lovely week of skiing, and I'd be glad to come back. The lounge was a relaxing spot in the afternoons, and breakfast was delicious with good options for different dietary needs. Our room was beautiful, with thoughtful touches like robes, slippers, and U.K. plug sockets. Patrizia, Andrea and Simon were always welcoming, attentive, and kind. They seemed to be working nonstop, and I hope they get time for breaks. Several guests we chatted with had returned before, including a couple who'd been coming every year for 15 years.

Room 403 was a comfortable-sized double with a king bed, a large bathroom, and two Juliet balconies. The hotel's own on-demand shuttle to and from the main lift was a fantastic extra. It's a lovely little hotel run really well, and the family are warm and helpful. The service feels sincere, and I couldn't fault our stay.

After skiing, it was easy to stroll around the charming town centre, with shops and restaurants right nearby. The hotel's shuttle took us to the slopes whenever we needed, so our days were effortless. The owners were incredibly kind and made sure we felt looked after throughout our week in Courmayeur. Breakfast had great quality and variety, and the sauna was a lovely way to unwind. Our comfortable room looked out over the mountains, an unforgettable sight to wake up to. We felt at home and can't wait to return next year. A wonderful stay from beginning to end.
