Hotel Stauder

Dinner is available at the hotel if you choose, but make sure to reserve, even as a guest. They’re strict about it. The cooking was excellent at dinner and breakfast, which had lots of tasty options. I also got useful suggestions for local hikes and how to reach them. The hotel is close to the bus station, or busbanhof, so it’s convenient to visit Tre Cimi or Lago do Braies without dealing with parking at those overcrowded spots. I had a very nice four-day stay at Hotel Stauder. The rooms are nicely furnished, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are a good size, and there are small patios. The decor feels traditional with modern touches.

What a lovely guesthouse. I was cycling and didn’t have time to try the daily local hike suggestions, though they sounded great. The daily newsletter was really informative, and it’s a great base for exploring the area. I wish I could have stayed longer. Christine and the staff were warm, kind, and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

The Panorama Junior Suite gave us amazing views across the Dolomites to the south and west, and there was plenty of room to settle in. We were glad we stayed right in town, too. It was lovely to wander around in the evenings, and having meals and everything else we needed at Stauder meant we could properly relax after a day out. Breakfast felt wonderfully indulgent, especially the made-to-order dishes, and the four-course dinner was both delicious and very reasonably priced. Christina and her family made us feel so welcome, with hiking tips, local event and weather information, complimentary bikes and aperitifs, and even birthday decorations. We loved our stay and can't recommend Stauder enough.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. It's a family-run hotel with a really good standard of accommodation. I'd happily recommend it, and hope we get the chance to come back.
