We’d driven about 20 minutes from Emperia because of the menu and reviews. The food was okay, and the friendly servers had English menus, which we appreciated. The church next door was open for a charity sale, a nice surprise, since it’s the only church we’ve managed to enter during our time here. Why are they all locked? The meal itself was a bit underwhelming. At 19:45 they were already out of bruschetta, and we waited nearly half an hour for the starter, a board of mixed cheese and cold meats. Then the two seafood mains arrived before the pizzas. The seafood eaters didn’t want their food to get cold, so they started, and by the time the pizzas came they were finished. We ended up eating separately, which wasn’t great. Still, dinner for three adults, a 10-year-old and a 2-year-old, with a couple of glasses of wine and no desserts, cost under €70, so perhaps we can’t complain too much. The food was good; maybe we caught them on an off day.

We all enjoyed the food and had a nice dinner. The bill was good value for the quality. It was a little odd that everything we ordered arrived at the table at once.

The kind service and fair prices made this a really nice place, even though staff could sometimes be hard to get hold of. We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in Dolcedo. The gnocchi we shared to start was fresh and really tasty, and the pizzas were lovely too. We’d recommend it!

The food was excellent at this very nice pizzeria. It gets busy, so you might wait more than 40 minutes.
