The room was clean and the price was low, and the staff were nice. But the noise from the next room was unbearable. I’ve never heard things so clearly through a wall. The entrance building also felt unpleasant, with a bad smell and a generally shaky feel. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

It’s about 200 m from the train station, and the room was clean and a decent size. There’s no lift to the first-floor rooms, but the front desk man and housekeeping lady were both polite and helpful, and staff carried our luggage up and down. The front desk man gave us useful tips on places to visit and stored our bags for six hours after checkout. Good service for a couple staying one night, despite a few drawbacks.

My husband and I spent three days here in April 2023, and it felt warm and homey. The building is an old apartment block; our room wasn’t large, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful. We’re especially grateful to the front desk gentleman, probably over 60, who was so warm and courteous. He opened the elevator door for us and carried our suitcase.

This is a family B&B, not a fancy place, with the mother, father, and son all working together. Paola, the owner, was so friendly and helpful, and we loved her breakfast. Prices felt a bit high, though that may be Florence being such a big tourist destination, and I think the rates could still be lower. I’d definitely encourage people to meet Paola and stay here.
