Our hosts were so kind and welcoming. Gregorio Nardi, Piero Bargellini’s nephew, hosted us and took us through a fascinating account of the mayor’s life. We heard stories, anecdotes, and what had inspired him over a lifetime, including his connection to the history of the Florence flood. I’d highly recommend visiting to learn more about this important part of Florence’s history.
