The bed and breakfast was pretty good, and the hotel is very central, making it easy to walk around Florence. The rooms were clean and the staff made an effort during our stay. Monica, thanks for your professional and kind reply. For reference, we were in room 111. The mould I mentioned was mainly in the bathroom grout where water collects. We asked about upgrading within the first hour and were happy to pay the difference, but the concierge said the hotel was fully booked. It’s an older style hotel, which was fine for us, but the rooms are quite small and the walls are thin enough that you hear the hallway and nearby rooms. With big luggage and carry-ons, I’d suggest a larger room or somewhere else if space matters. The bathrooms were the main downside: very cramped, and the bath and shower setup wasn’t great. The glass door shifted while showering, so water easily got onto the floor, and there was some mould in places where water pools. The bathrooms could use renovation. Even so, if those things don’t bother you, the hotel is perfectly fine. I still appreciated the location, breakfast, and the staff’s effort.
