The breakfast and staff were nice, and the location is good, though the bus line in front makes it crowded by the door. There’s a step at the hotel’s front entrance, so step-free access requires using another entrance. The accessible room didn’t work for someone with a scooter: it was too small, and the bathroom was difficult to maneuver in. I can’t recommend it for people with mobility needs. You also have to pay when you check in, not at checkout. There were no USB ports in the room either, which felt outdated.

After the delayed flights, canceled trains, and sheer exhaustion of traveling from the USA, walking into Joy Hotel was a relief. It felt calm right away. The hotel is around the corner from the train station but still peaceful and welcoming. Christian and Matteo were kind and accommodating from the start. They helped with our luggage and got a room ready as quickly as they could. The room was pristine, with crisp white towels. We appreciated the espresso before heading out and the welcome drink, too. We accidentally slept past checkout because of jet lag. The staff were understanding about it and gladly stored our luggage while we went to explore Florence. Farida was especially warm, with a lovely welcoming smile. She made sure we had drinks and snacks, checked on us several times, and stayed late to accommodate us. Professional, elegant, calm, and authentically Italian hospitality. I’ll absolutely stay here again. Thank you, Farida!

We arrived in the evening, and Daniele gave us such a warm welcome. He helped us check in, answered our questions, and suggested an upgrade to a larger room, which turned out to be a great choice. After we settled in, he reviewed our booking and spotted that we’d accidentally overpaid 30 euros. We really appreciated him catching that. The location is very convenient, and Daniele’s service was wonderful the whole time. We’d definitely stay again. Thank you so much, Daniele!

The room was small but clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. There’s a bus stop right outside, which sometimes made reaching the lobby difficult. It’s easy to get here from the tram, though you’ll need to walk a block or two to find the nicer parts of Florence.
