Drom Florence Rooms & Apartments

The area was peaceful and quiet, yet the city center was only a 15-minute walk away. Our room was cleaned and kept tidy while we were out, and breakfast was sweet and filling enough. Antonio would knock in the morning, come into the room with breakfast, set it on the table, and leave. It felt a bit strange at first that he came in whether we were ready or not, but once we knew the time, we were ready for him. The owner welcomed us, checked us into the room, and collected the city tax, then explained the room and facility rules. It felt like a welcoming, safe place to stay close to the center. I’d recommend it.

We were able to check out and leave our bags to collect later, which was really convenient. The room had a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep, and the modern bathroom completed the setup. Claudia’s place was well situated in Firenze, on the quiet side of the river where more locals live than tourists stay. The neighborhood felt local, with cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby. We were close to everything but still had the peace and relaxation we needed.

The location was quiet and felt safe and clean at any hour. Laundry, markets, restaurants, and coffee shops were all within a two-minute walk, while Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery were about five minutes away. After days out exploring Firenza and other parts of Tuscany, I’d come back to a spotless room thanks to the daily turn-down service. I stayed five days in November 2024 and loved it. The room was spacious, spotless, and well appointed, with a stocked beverage fridge and traditional decor. Claudia and Antonio were wonderful hosts and kept in touch to make sure I had what I needed. 10/10, I’d stay again and highly recommend it.

Claudia was a really accommodating host. She helped us sort out transport to the Airbnb and let us know about rail strikes on our travel day. She also took our allergies and dietary needs seriously, even tailoring breakfast for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and really nice, and we could walk to many Florence attractions. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it.
