Firenze Santa Maria Novella

Rebecca was a huge help, and we’d gladly come back. The location suited us too: set back from the main roads and just outside the centre, so it was peaceful.

The bed was comfortable and the room felt modern, but the bathroom layout was poor and the shower needs replacing. Finding the entrance was confusing because the Google Maps address didn’t lead to it. Check-in was fine, with someone there to welcome us, though the desk was only staffed for a few hours a day. We had to leave at 7am for our flight, so couldn’t try breakfast, which wasn’t available until 8. At checkout we just left the keys on the desk with nobody there and had to hope everything went through smoothly.

The staff took care of everything we needed and gave us spot-on suggestions for things to do and where to find them. It’s easy to reach by tram from the airport, and central Florence is an easy walk away. There are good-value restaurants nearby too. The place was clean, comfortable, and affordable. I’d book early for the best price and add breakfast, it’s a great start to the day. This is the place if you want a great stay in Florence.

Gaetano was incredibly kind and helpful, and I really appreciated how calm everything felt. It was a safe place to stay, with the station and the heart of the Old City both a quick 10-15 minute walk away. Having a home away from home made it easy to enjoy Firenze’s amazing culture and history.
