Guest House Zefiro

We spent three nights in Florence and were very happy with the hotel. It’s clean and well located, close to the train station and the centre. Stefano was attentive and helpful, and whenever we needed him, he got back to us straight away. He made everything easier. I know where I’ll stay next time 😊

We booked at the last minute, and this was the only reasonably priced option we found. It’s a large apartment in an old building, divided into separate rooms. Ours was spacious and clean, with a big, comfortable bathroom. There was a strange smell, but for a short stay it didn’t bother us too much. The bed was big and comfortable, which was what mattered most to us. The room was cleaned daily. Service was kind and nice, though we hardly saw anyone beyond check-in. We could walk to the centre, but reaching the nearest public parking took 10-15 minutes, and carrying our bags that far felt like a bit much. That car park is on the edge of the restricted traffic area. There are closer car parks, but they’re inside the restricted area and cost more than twice as much.

Our host was one of the kindest people we met in Italy, just a lovely person. The rooms were clean and really nice, and the location worked well for restaurants and things to do. They also let us drop our luggage off early. Thanks so much!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!🚨🚨 This was the most frightening experience of my life. My friend and I are both women, aged 22, and we had a terrible time. At check-in, the host scared us and spent more than 30 minutes going over strict rules and instructions, including that we had to leave the air conditioning at 16 degrees all the time. The next morning, he went into the room 20 seconds after we left, took pictures, then spammed me with messages and calls complaining about the air conditioning. I returned and apologized, then asked him NOT to enter my room again because I felt uncomfortable. He ignored that, and when I came back later, he’d been inside and left paper across my bed. Then he kicked us out and wouldn’t let us leave until we spoke with Booking.com. His behavior felt scary and cruel, like he was on drugs or having a breakdown. He laughed at me while I was crying. Evil man, worst place I’ve ever stayed.
