The room felt unsafe after unknown people entered without authorization at around 4:00 PM while we were asleep. Management called it a mistake, but for the rest of our August 7th to 9th stay we worried someone might come in again and couldn't sleep properly. I told the owner about the entry, security concerns, and the room not matching what was promised, and said I was leaving and wanted a refund. They were completely indifferent. The bathroom was also a hazard. The shower's glass panels had been removed and replaced with a curtain, but its wall fixture was broken. The shower head wasn't secure, and when I turned the water on and off, the faucet came loose and fell on my foot. Things in there seemed to fall apart as soon as you touched them. Flushing the toilet made water leak from its base. There were spiderwebs on the ceiling, plus dead flies and residue from killing flies on the ceiling and walls. The bed was made by pushing two single beds together. Check-in by email made it look like there was a system, and with a 3:00 PM check-in, you'd think the room would be ready by then. Instead, this accommodation turned our Florence holiday into a nightmare. Calling it a room from hell barely covers it. Customer satisfaction seemed to mean nothing, and the room felt like an invitation to accidents and injuries. The hygiene was a complete disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Stay away unless you want to ruin your Florence vacation.

The room was very hot, and tram noise made the night extremely loud. It also looked much more run-down than the photos, with no headboard. The listing didn't make clear that the double room shared a bathroom. Remote check-in got a quick response, but wasn't very straightforward.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and made for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was a little small but still fine. The location is ideal.

The A/C was the only good part of the room. The mattress was so bad I wondered if there was one on the bed at all, the shower was poorly designed, and the TV had no English channels. Even a news channel would've been fine. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. Customer service was really poor. I sent the owners several questions by email and many went unanswered. I booked with my bank card, then arranged to pay with a different card two days before we left. On the way into the building, they charged the original account again, even though I'd repeatedly said I didn't want to pay from it. The woman handling it said her colleague hadn't told her we'd already paid two days earlier. I don't understand how that could happen. It put a damper on our first evening, since I had to send my account details over WhatsApp to fix their communication mistake. She was very rude, and her English was poor. She clearly didn't know things are done differently in England than in Italy.

The worst experience ever, with no privacy. People tried to get into the room, and I was lucky to be there to stop them. They probably thought I was out. Imagine if I hadn't been there.
