The place was clean and right in the center, but I wouldn't stay here again. There was no one at reception to help with our problems, and we couldn't get a reply to messages either. It was hot and stuffy all night because the AC remote had been removed. We weren't given the WiFi details, and with no phone signal we couldn't get online or make calls. The main shower was disconnected, which we hadn't been told about, so we had to prop up the handheld one. There was also a nail sticking out of the wall by the door, an injury waiting to happen if you didn't notice it. The skirting boards were pulling away, and the decor needs updating. For what we paid, we left disappointed. This didn't feel like a 4 star stay.

You don't get breakfast here, whatever the websites say, and it was hard to even spot anyone working. The beds were painfully hard, the walls paper thin, and our room was only tended once during our five days. One night there was a concert at the theater on the other side of the building, and the noise was so loud the room shook. Getting in was a hassle too: the hotel is tucked away, you have to buzz to enter, climb two flights with no elevator, then use one key for the hotel and another for your room. The location is the only good part. This feels like a 2 star hotel that needs upgrading.

The rooms were clean and really nice, and the location made it easy to get around central Florence. Since it's a B&B, reception is only open limited hours, but it was easy to reach the staff when we needed them. We'd absolutely come back.

The room was spotless and the location is great, but this isn't a standard hotel. It felt more like an Airbnb style B&B. We never saw staff or a concierge, had to collect the keys from a restaurant, and were asked to pay the city tax in cash because they wouldn't take a card. Breakfast wasn't included and nobody offered it. Google has this listed as a 4 star hotel, which it isn't.
