La Locandiera B&B

Silvia was very accommodating. One morning, she brought breakfast early because we had museum tickets, and she also suggested several good restaurants. We tried one and loved it. The room was clean, and the bed had memory foam. Getting to the train station was convenient, but most Florence sights were at least a 15-minute walk away. That would’ve been fine if it hadn’t been over 100 degrees every day we were there. A tip: don’t visit Florence in August. The one downside was a charge of $2.50 per day to change towels. I understand the aim is to conserve water, but I’d rather they follow what many other hotels in Italy do and encourage guests to request fresh towels only when needed instead of charging for them.

Breakfast came up to our room on a little cart, which was great, and we loved this little gem. My husband, our 14-year-old grandson, and I stayed for two nights. We could walk to the train station, shops, main sights, and restaurants. Silvia was a dear, sweet lady who checked in with us regularly, including at check-in and checkout. We’d definitely recommend it.

Sylvia, the owner, handles everything herself, from cleaning and bookings to cooking. You get a breakfast menu to choose from, then she brings your order right to your room. The location is awesome, just around the corner from the train station. We’ve stayed in lots of B&Bs, and this one is superb. Highly recommend it.

We chose this B&B because we were touring Italy by train and wanted to be near the station. We were very impressed. The woman who runs it was so nice and helpful, and she brought us a really nice breakfast in our room each morning. I highly recommend it.
