Hotel Lombardia

Nice breakfast, very hot water, and pleasant staff. It's a quaint hotel just steps from the train station. There's no elevator, though the staff will carry your luggage upstairs. The shower is open glass, so sharing a room means there's no privacy.

The location is a real plus, right by the train station and within an easy walk of nearly everything. The staff were attentive and helpful. Just keep in mind there's no elevator, and the front desk closes at 8PM, which isn't very convenient.

The bath setup is really odd, a clear glass partition in the middle of the room. I don't get it. Also, no elevator, which gets annoying with heavy suitcases or after lunch. Still, the room was comfortable, with a mini-fridge and good AC. The bed was comfortable too, and breakfast was nice. We stayed two nights, and the location was great for walking to all the attractions.

The friendly staff and daily housekeeping were the bright spots. They made the bed and left fresh towels each day. But for €308.16 for three nights, it simply wasn't worth it. The cleanliness was poor. The hallway stairs were dirty, the old carpet was nearly black and looked like it needed replacing, and laundry bags left in the corridors during the day made the place feel untidy. Our room smelled bad, the bed was extremely hard, and the fridge barely worked. The shower was just a single glass panel with no proper door, so the bathroom floor ended up soaked after every use. Breakfast was very basic and disappointing.
