Lovely 4BD Apt 3min Walk to Ponte Vecchio

The location is the only thing going for this apartment. There are three rooms but no wardrobe, so there’s nowhere to put your clothes if you unpack. With the windows open, there’s noise from morning until night, a constant cooked-food smell from the nearby restaurant, and mosquitoes come in because there’s no insect protection on the windows. Although there’s air conditioning, the owner didn’t provide the remote controls. It was 30 degrees outside and the apartment was warm. When we arrived, the lady in charge took pictures of our passports and collected the accommodation cash without giving us an invoice. When we asked for one, she asked for our passport details again. We still haven’t received the bill. She was extremely rude when I asked about the missing Wi-Fi. I’d paid for Wi-Fi but couldn’t use it for all four days. The apartment faces an inner courtyard, and mobile data coverage was extremely difficult there. If you’re used to staying in hotels, be aware that the bed linen seemed very dubious. There were no sheets for the blankets, and the linen came in every color of the rainbow except white. This apartment was a big imposture, and even its location couldn’t make up for all these problems.

Ms. Barbara made us feel welcome straight away, and we appreciated all her hospitality. The two-room apartment was a gem for four people and a dog, just steps from Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and Palazzo Pitti. The kitchen and bathroom were fully equipped, and the beds were comfortable after a day of sightseeing. We highly recommend staying here in Florence. Thanks again, Barbara, from the Scozzaro family.

The owners are lovely, the price is great for what you get, and I’d definitely stay here again. We were four people in the mezzanine apartment, which was cute and well equipped. There’s a trendy bar across the street for breakfast or a bite to eat. It’s right by Ponte Vecchio and the historic center. For parking, ask the owners what they recommend, since the apartment is in a restricted traffic zone. We found a nearby garage at a good price.
