The location was good and the bed was comfortable. Everything else made for a horrible stay. The AC leaked across the floor on two of our three nights. The company sent a technician, then blamed us for leaving it on and told us not to run it when we weren’t there. We followed that advice. One evening we turned it back on after it had been off all day, and it started leaking again. Somehow they still said it was our fault, not faulty equipment. On the last night, the shower backed up and water spread across the bathroom and into the main room. My wife and I spent 30 minutes mopping it up, and we have photos and videos. When we complained, they denied there had been any bathroom flooding and again blamed us for the AC leak, even though it hadn’t been left on. This company will say anything to protect itself. I’ve never had to write a review like this for a place I’ve stayed in across multiple countries and continents. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This place is horrible.

The staff were helpful and nice, and the room and bed were taken care of every day. The bed was comfortable too. The room looked a bit worn and could use some renovation. We didn’t use the upstairs mezzanine room. The bathroom smelled strongly of mold and felt damp, so we had to leave the lights and fan on. At night and in the early morning, people outside were shouting and banging on things. We were on the top floor but couldn’t keep the window open. There was heavy traffic during the day and afternoon. It was a good enough place to stay since the square was almost around the corner. Ponte Veccio, Uffizi, the town square, and the duomo are very close.

Francesco was such a friendly, helpful host and gave us plenty of useful information. The room was spotless and nicely finished, and the shower had wonderfully warm water and strong pressure. A lovely little find right in the heart of Florence. I’d happily recommend it.

Francesco made our late-night arrival easy, even though we got in around the middle of the night. He was kind and accommodating, and check-in went smoothly. We only stayed one night on the way to catch the ferry to Sardinia, but left feeling rested and looked after. The room had plenty of space, a cozy bed, a good shower, and the essentials, with a calm feel after a long travel day. The place was clean and comfortable, with a lovely touch of Florence architecture. It’s centrally located and within walking distance of the train station, so it worked really well for a stopover.
