The receptionist spoke very little English, but we managed to communicate just fine. Our room was clean, the AC worked well, and there’s an elevator for luggage since the place is on the second floor. It’s a short walk from the train station. The shared floor made things noisier than a hotel, and breakfast was only coffee and a pastry in the mornings. For the price and its 3-star rating, my three nights at Melody House were great.

The place was really nice and centrally located, and I’d stay again. The free breakfast wasn’t worth it.

The room could use some investment, like a new shower and a fridge. Even so, we had a really good stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It’s a calm spot, 5-10 minutes from the central station and far enough from the city centre’s busiest part to avoid the noise.

We chose this place to be near Piazzale Montelungo, where we had booked a trip to Montalcino, Pienze, and Montepulciano. Firenze accommodation was expensive compared with other Italian cities on our trip, and this was the best value we found near the city centre. The rooms have en suite bathrooms and very strong air conditioning, and the lady staff were nice and spoke some English. It feels like a 2-3 star hotel. The room wasn’t cleaned every day. You can reach it easily from the main street, and the centre is walkable.

The staff waited for us after our flight was delayed, which was really good of them. It’s close to the train station and easy to get to, and the staff were nice. The caretaker said the Wi-Fi was down for maintenance during our stay. It’d also be better if the staff could speak English.
