Polo Residence

The kitchen was well supplied, with a coffee maker, microwave, oven and stove, and there’s air conditioning and a TV too. The AC worked, though its remote was unreliable. We stayed four nights in summer, hoping to cook and do our own thing, but the apartment felt claustrophobic with the bed, table, kitchen and fridge all in one room. The small bathroom was separate and functional. There are supermarkets nearby. If choosing between them, I’d go to CONAD over Carrefour Express. The location was okay, around 10-15 minutes from Piazza del Duomo and 20 minutes from Ponte Vecchio, but the neighborhood felt run down, with broken sidewalks. The main problem was sleep. At 1.82 m, my feet hung about two hand spans off the end of the bed. The fridge was right beside it and made a lot of noise at night. It would start suddenly and wake me, then run for hours. If we returned to Florence, we’d look for somewhere else where we could sleep better.

It’s not a large apartment, but the layout works well and we had a great stay. You’re very close to the Duomo, right in the heart of Florence. Highly recommended.

For Florence, this is a very fairly priced apartment and a good place to sleep.

The apartment has everything you need and is comfortable, with a great location. Sara and Roberto were excellent hosts 💗. I’d definitely recommend it.
