The place was clean and comfortable, and it didn’t take long to walk to big attractions like the Duomo. We checked in at another location first. The neighborhood was very quiet and convenient.

The location is very good, and the rooms are quaint and clean. Keep in mind that there’s no receptionist or front desk here, it’s a couple of blocks away.

The location is about the only good thing I can say. It may cost less, but the place was dirty and gross, with mold in the shower, unexplained stains that could have been blood or mold on the curtains, peeling bed plastic getting onto the sheets, a cigarette smell in the room, and dated furnishings. You’re handed four keys for the different doors you need to unlock, but the entry instructions aren’t clear. Check-in time is limited and there’s no free place to leave your bags. Don’t waste your time here.

The room was so hot we could barely sleep, and the windows were screwed shut. The A/C only pushed out weak fan air, with no cooling at all. I sent a photo of the remote, followed the instructions, and called around 4:15 pm because it was over 78 degrees inside and above 95 outside. They said maintenance would come at 5:30. Nobody came. After I checked again at 5:45, I heard nothing until 7:30, when they asked if the A/C was broken. I explained it again, then messaged at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 the next morning. At 10:20 they finally said they were contacting maintenance. No one ever showed up, and there was no fix or apology. We were glad we only had two nights there. Afterward, we decided not to stay again. This was especially disappointing because we'd stayed twice before, in May 2024 and August/September 2024, and both visits were great, five-star experiences. The check-in office had moved, which we found out a few days before arriving. It wasn't a huge deal, but it complicated arranging transport from the airport. Once in the room, we also found the welcome paper missing, so we had no Wi-Fi details. I asked several times and was just told the information was on the paper. I checked the drawers, cupboards, closet, and everywhere else, but there was no paper and no reply with the password. The location is great, and the rooms have been updated at some point. The bathroom still needs work, though. There's no ventilation, it stays humid, and there's quite a bit of mildew in and around the shower. The toiletries they advertise amount to one bottle of all-in-one shampoo, soap, and body wash. We'll look elsewhere next time.
