Romantic Pitti by Mmega

I booked three nights at Romantic Pitti, but didn't even stay one. There was no lift, just three flights of narrow stairs, and the person meant to let me into the apartment was 15 minutes late, leaving me waiting on the street. Inside, the place smelled of sewer gas, vomit, and old sweat. The walls were dirty, with holes and smashed mosquitoes, and there were stains on the lampshades and sofa. Cleaning supplies and random things were left around. There was no AC and the air felt stale. Nothing about it was romantic. I left at 9pm, changed my flight, and went straight to the airport to wait all night for my 6:30am flight home. I lost two days of my Florence vacation, which was such a disappointment. I also paid a $70 cleaning deposit on top of the nightly fee. I asked for a refund and never heard back. The rest of my Italian vacation was fabulous. This felt like an investment property owned by somebody who doesn't care.
