We had a terrible stay and couldn’t enjoy Florence. We booked an apartment-style place online because the listing said it had AC and Wi-Fi. After resting for a couple of hours, we found the AC wasn’t on and went to ask management about it. They said we had to pay extra. We showed them our receipt and the room details indicating it was an AC room, but when they couldn’t find anything, they simply said all the rooms were full. It was summer, with temperatures around 96 to 100 degrees. We couldn’t cancel either. I’d double-check everything before booking with them. It felt like they tricked us into paying more and still didn’t provide the service.

The building is dated, but it’s kept in good shape and cleaned and tidied every day. There’s a fridge, hair dryer, a TV in each room, and plenty of towels. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and provides breakfast. It’s about a ten-minute walk from the Florence train station, with lots of shops, restaurants serving international food, and other amenities nearby.

We cooked pasta on two nights, since there was a kitchen and a fridge. The building looks and feels old, but that didn’t bother us, and breakfast was very good. It’s near Santa Maria Novella train station and about a five-minute walk to the center. Great value for the price.

We were young travelers who arrived very late at night with nowhere to sleep. Giuseppe welcomed us like we were his own children and made us a very tempting offer: 105x4 euros for one night. He also told us about how he came to Florenze and started his business there. Greetings to Giuseppe from Finland!

For a low-cost trip, this was a really nice place to stay, with a spacious enough room and very kind people. The location is impeccable and close to everything. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable stay.
