Soggiorno Karabà

We couldn't check in and had to find somewhere else to stay that night. The host would let us stay only for the other night we had booked, and we got no money back. We also found the bathroom very dirty, and the whole place was awful for us. We had told the host we were driving from Germany and might be late, and he asked for our exact arrival time. I said we could definitely make it by 9 p.m. About eight hours before arrival, an email said check-in ended at 7 p.m. We were already past the 24-hour cancellation deadline, so cancelling meant losing our money. From a gas station, I politely asked him to wait another 20 to 30 minutes, but he wouldn't stay past 7. The service was poor, and I thought the host was in the wrong job. I wouldn't pay for this again. Spend 5 euros more for one night and make it better than we did.

Their check-in hours were 3-7 pm, but they told us about that limit only the day before our flight into Florence. We said we'd get there at 9:30 pm, and they couldn't find anyone to let us in, so the communication was awful and they eventually told us to find somewhere else for the night. We followed their instructions to check in again the next morning, only to discover they'd cancelled our reservation without telling us. No refund has been offered. Wouldn't recommend it.

The place was clean, and the rooms and toilet were decent, but the wifi was painfully slow. A few times I got so frustrated with the internet that I wanted to smash my phone. We arrived around 11:30, hoping at least to leave our bags before heading out, since check-in was listed as 1pm. No one came to open the door until exactly 1, so we waited over an hour.

I got to the "hotel" at 6:20pm and called to check in, but they said I was late and that check-in was at 5pm. My itinerary clearly showed 13:00-19:00. They said they'd tried to contact me, but their only email came that day asking when I'd arrive. I replied as soon as I received it and gave them an exact time, but they ignored that. When I asked for a refund, they hung up on me. I absolutely don't recommend this place.
