The owners were quick to respond, and the apartment was spotless in a beautiful setting that’s handy for exploring Florence. Try the restaurant right below it if you stay, the food and staff were amazing.

We spent two days in Florence before going on to Rome. The room was modern and very clean, and the shower was fantastic. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the train station, right around the corner from the Accademia for David, and 20 minutes from the Uffizi gallery. I’d stay there again.

The room was immaculate and the bed really comfortable. The location is brilliantly central, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We’ll definitely come back and thoroughly recommend The Gallery 42 Guest House.

They provided earplugs, which made me think the room was going to be very noisy.

The room had a rainfall shower, fridge, TV and closet, and both the WiFi and air conditioning worked well. We could also download a welcome booklet with the hotel’s recommendations for different parts of the city. When we arrived early, we left our bags and got a key so we could come and go before check-in. The woman who welcomed us spoke great English, made us coffee and walked us through a map and places to see. They texted when the room was ready, with our bags already brought up. A fantastic stay, and the location was great. I’d recommend it.
