The room itself was fine, but several problems and added costs only became clear after we arrived. There was no water in the fridge, and the fridge was switched off. The air conditioning wasn’t running either. I only learned after complaining that local rules meant it couldn’t be turned on until mid-May, which should have been explained before booking. They also charged 1 euro for towel changes without mentioning it beforehand. Check-in was badly explained: they emailed in the morning asking for our arrival time, so I sent it and expected someone to meet us. They didn’t say we had to send passport details in advance to get a self-check-in code, and no one would be there when we arrived. I travel often in Italy and regularly use Airbnb for self-check-in, but I’ve never had this process communicated so poorly or been asked for passport details ahead of arrival. When I asked for help, they falsely said we hadn’t replied to their email. Customer service was extremely poor and unhelpful throughout. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The only difference from Hilton or Four Seasons is the price. It’s a perfect place, with amazing rooms and everything you might need, even an iron. I can’t recommend it enough.

We waited a long time for the door code, and they hadn’t asked us for our documents in advance. Terrible service. I don’t recommend this hotel.

A great option for a stay in Florence. The spacious apartment has all the modern comforts, and there’s daily cleaning. The Internet connection is good, and the rooms are well suited to a stay in this lovely Italian city. There’s also a terrace for warmer days. It’s about 20 minutes from the Duomo.
