Hotel Fantelli

Great for a ski trip, with a sauna and a very good dinner.

I visited in March 2022 on a group skiing trip and would happily return. The owner and staff were kind and friendly, and the location in Folgarida is perfect. Once you’ve got a few days of skiing experience, it’s just 100m to walk to the piste, and you can stop skiing there too. Breakfast and dinner were good :)

The small size and cosy feel suited us, and the hotel is just a few metres from an easy slope. Our tidy, spacious room was well looked after and kept clean. After skiing, the wellness centre had everything we needed to recover, even though it isn’t very big. The staff were so helpful, and Mara was especially kind and welcoming. Food was fine, though fresh fruit at breakfast and more starters at dinner would have been nice. We had ugly weather in the second week of December, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fantelli.

There’s nowhere for small kids, around 2-6, to play. If they try to keep themselves busy in an open area like the bar or restaurant, they’re told to be quieter or leave. Parents can make noise in the bar until midnight, but kids can’t. That doesn’t feel family friendly to us, despite the claim. Breakfast is very basic, and getting through dinner takes almost two hours, which is a lot to ask of small children when there’s nowhere for them to play. We definitely won’t come back.
